A scrap baling press is a hydraulic machine used to compress loose waste materials—such as metal, plastic, and paper—into dense, manageable blocks (bales). This process significantly reduces scrap volume, facilitating easier storage, transport, and recycling efficiency.

Baling machines are categorized by their design and the compression force they apply: 

• Vertical Balers: Best for facilities with limited floor space and lower volume, typically used for paper and plastic.
• Horizontal Balers: Designed for higher throughput and continuous feeding in large scrap yards.
• Double Action Presses: Apply force from two directions, suitable for medium-duty metal scrap.
• Triple Action (Triple Compression) Balers: Provide multi-directional compression for high-density bales, ideal for heavy metal scrap like MS or aluminium.
